New program available for firefighter accidental death and dismemberment
K&K Insurance has launched a new program offering accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage for firefighters. The program provides a variety of options including:
- Policies written for the entire state or on a per firehouse basis.
- Coverage for full-time firefighters:
- accidental death and dismemberment;
- accelerated benefit
- heart and circulatory benefit (death, medical expense or total disability
benefit when an insured suffers a sudden heart or circulatory malfunction
within 48 hours after participating in an emergency call)
- seat belt coverage ($20,000 death benefit due to the unintentional collision
of an automobile or fire engine during which the insured is participating in a
covered activity and wearing a seat belt.)
- Volunteers are offered the same coverage as full-time firefighters and also have the option
to purchase excess medical coverage and partial/total disability coverage.
No prior appointment or agreement is needed for agents to submit applications for quotation. The program is not available in AL, FL, IN, MA, ME, MN, MS, NY, OH, VA.

New website offers quote and buy online capability for walk and run
K&K Insurance announces a new website offering coverage for groups organizing walk or run events. The website, www.WalkRunInsurance-kk.com, offers the ability to quote and purchase liability insurance online with immediate deliver of coverage documents.
The Walk/Run Event Program provides liability protection for the organization, including employees and volunteers, for liability claims arising out of its operations and offers rates lower than the standard sports events program.
A variety of limits are offered ranging from $1 million per occurrence with a $5 million aggregate up to $5 million per occurrence with a $5 million aggregate. Rates are based on whether the event is a non-competitive charity walk/run or a competitive (timed) walk or run event. The minimum premium for non-competitive events is $150; the minimum for competitive events is $300. Optional sexual abuse and molestation coverage and ancillary event coverage is also available through this program.

New program for destination resorts now available to agents
K&K Insurance Group, Inc. announced a new program created specifically for destination and vacation resorts including guest ranches. This resort program is for operations that offer hotel, lodge or cabin rentals and include full service restaurants, bars, spa services and many leisure activities.
The program is offered in all states. Available coverage includes general liability, property, commercial auto, excess liability and workers' compensation in select states. Eligible risks should have management experience of three years or more. Minimum package premium is $5,000. Limits up to $25 million for casualty and $100 million for property are available. Ski rsorts, franchised hotels/motels, waterparks and amusement parks are not eligible for coverage under K&K's resort program.

Limits of up to $25,000,000 are offered with no aggregate. Minimum premium for the bowling center program is $10,000 and it is offered in all states except New York. Campground program experiencing growth and open to agents
K&K Insurance announced that its campground program is experiencing growth and will continue to provide competitive insurance coverage for campgrounds in light of carriers withdrawing from the market.
Coverage is available for both private and franchised campgrounds with ancillary activities such as waterslides, amusement devices and motorized boating. Day camps and some camping-oriented resorts are also eligible for coverage under the program.
