This program is designed to meet the unique needs of a U.S.-based independent instructor of the arts. Coverage provided includes important liability protection for liability claims arising out of their operations.

Please note:

  • This program does not provide liability coverage for the operation, ownership or management of an art or music facility.
  • This program only provides coverage for your individual operations as an independent instructor of the arts.  The policy does not extend coverage for activities conducted by employees or anyone else assisting or performing on your behalf.
Eligible Operations
 
An instructor age 18 or older conducting private or group instruction for the following is eligible to enroll in this program:
​              
-Artistic painting-Instrumental music (brass, percussion, string, woodwind)
-Clay work and/or pottery-Language
-Craft making-Piano, keyboard and/or organ
-Culinary (chef, baker)-Public speaking
-Digital Photography and/or art (classroom setting only)-Sculpting
-Drama-Vocals
-Drawing
    
Ineligible Operations:

The following operations are not eligible for this program. (Note, this is not a complete listing of ineligible operations.)  

-Instructors under the age of 18-Your employment as an exempt or non-exempt employee
- Sports, fitness or dance related instructor activitiesof a school, college or university
   
Liability Coverage
   
General liability coverage protects you if you are legally obligated to pay damages for bodily injury to others and for damage to the property of others resulting from your instruction activities. The policy also provides coverage (professional liability) for wrongful acts (breach of duty, neglect, error, omission, misstatement or a misleading statement in the discharge of arts instruction activities) that occur as a result of your instruction activities.

Exclusions

The following exclusionary endorsements are part of the policy providing coverage for this program: 

 
-Abuse, molestation, harassment, or sexual conduct           -Non-instructional events/activities, unless reported and
- All operations listed as ineligible

-Amusement devices (e.g.: rides, slides, inflatables, bungees, -
