This insurance program is specifically designed for US based bands and performing groups who work on an independent contractor basis entertaining at events and performances.  Coverages provided under this program include important liability protection for the performing group for liability claims arising out of their operations.

The following criteria must be met to be eligible for consideration of coverage under this program:

  • All groups must have at least one member or representative who is at least 18 years of age.
  • Annual gross income from the performing group's activities cannot exceed $200,000 if applying online for immediate coverage.
  • No more than 30 members in a performing group

This list does not encompass all performing groups or genres that may be eligible for coverage. If the type of performing group or music genre is not listed in the eligible or ineligible listing, please contact our office for classification.

Ineligible Operations

            
Operations and music genres not eligible for this program include, but are not limited to the following:
         
- Acrobatic/Aerialist performers - Models
- Actors or Actresses - Performers putting on an athletic exhibition
- Bands or groups with music genres of electronic/techno, - Performers using weapons (live ammunition
hip hop, rap and heavy metal/screamo or sharpened blades)
- Circus performers - Permanent tattoo artist/body piercing artists
- Cosmetologists/beauticians - Production/entertainment companies
- Escape artists - Public speakers
- Exotic dancers/strippers - Pyrotechnicians
 - Henna/Mehndi artists - School accredited/sponsored programs, bands
- Historical battle re-enactment groups and/or performing groups
- Hypnotists - Strength performers
- Instruction of other individuals for a fee - Stunt performers
- Jousters - Touring bands and/or groups
- Mascots (college, high school, professional)

Notable Exclusions:

 
- Abuse or molestation or exploitation -Reenactment performances/activities involving boats and/or
-Activities/events hosted, sponsored or organized by           
activities held on or in water

-Any events or activities involving or promoting tobacco -Silica or silica-related dust
             or cannabis
-Specified recreational activities - Aircraft/hot air balloon;

Asbestos
 Airport; Amusement devices: The ownership, operation,

maintenance or use of any device or equipment a person
Commercial general liability standard exclusions
