What Is TULIP Insurance?
Our Tenant User Liability Insurance Program is designed for owners of premises and facilities like banquet halls or churches that are rented or leased to tenants for short-term special events that meet the following criteria:
- Maximum total attendance is 3,000 or less.
- Maximum number of consecutive event days (not including set-up or tear-down) is 10.
- The event is held at a single location.
- Event location is in the United States.
How the TULIP Program Works
- A policy is issued to the facility owner through the Sports, Leisure and Entertainment Risk Purchasing Group
- Coverage applies only when the facility is rented to tenants, users, or lessees for short-term events specifically endorsed to the policy. Certificates of insurance are emailed to the insured (and agent, if applicable). The tenant, user, or lessee is the named insured, while the facility owner is automatically included as an additional insured at no extra cost. Coverage limits apply separately to each tenant or event
Important Program Details
This is a pre-reporting program—coverage must be purchased before the event begins
- Premiums are calculated per event and based on total expected attendance
- Events lasting 10 days or less are considered a single event
- Nonconsecutive event days are treated as separate events
